As a piano instructor who teaches the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) program, I offer personalized lessons to support each student's unique journey. Join me in exploring the world of music, where every note and every lesson becomes an inspiring experience.
Born into a Ukrainian household, I juggle English and Russian like a linguistic gymnast. Music is a huge part of me, and over thirteen years of my life have been dedicated to learning piano. My developed ear for music was evident early on, hinting at a future in composing. I can now simply sit and play; play whatever comes to mind; truly whatever I feel is on my heart.
Improvisation? Oh, that is my jam. I am a natural player, and believe music to be a personal interpretation of one's soul. It is so beautiful to hear different emotions through dynamics, expressions, and hand gestures of one's composition. Beauty in music lies in sharing it with others, allowing people to feel the bittersweet gestures of the performer's playing. Playing piano is a gift for others; it is like dancing a lively tango with every touch of the keys. My greatest musical inspirations are Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway, Amy Winehouse, Chopin, and Beethoven.
My musical journey started when I was five years old. I was gifted a keyboard for my birthday, and the first year of piano I was taught by my father, who kindly tried learning piano himself to teach me. I began the RCM program at 6 years old, and have been progressively learning it through my childhood. I began writing simple waltz and compositions at twelve years old, and I've progressed into improvising jazz and writing more detailed music. Performing improvised covers, classics, as well as my own compositions has truly been a rewarding experience, and it is simply wonderful to see how people enjoy the music. Music is a shared gift; it connects us ineffably with its melodies and rhythms. Music is a precious treasure, meant to be cherished and passed on.
I am finishing the last level of RCM, level 10, and am currently working towards a Bachelor in Business General at Athabasca University. I hope to dedicate as much of my life as I can to teach students with a modern, and passionate approach, allowing students to feel comfortable in the learning process. Learning piano is a tenacious journey, requiring commitment and interest in playing. I desire to reach out an audience whom is passionate towards learning the essence of music, alongside with individuals who like my music of course :)
